the fifth annual Salon Internacional de la Alta Relojeria (SIAR) 2011.
The event held at the Four Seasons in the country’s capital, will run
through October 6th.
A large number of the world’s finest luxury watch manufacturers are attending the event.
eWatches brands that will be represented at the SIAR 2011 event include:
- Baume & Mercier
- Cartier

- Chopard
- Concord
- Corum
- Hermès
- Perrelet
- Tag Heuer
Watch aficionados from around the world will be the first to see two
industry unveilings–Baume & Mercier have announced that they will
launch a new chapter in their watchmaking legacy at this week’s event.
While Cartier will introduce customers and fans to their Astroregulateur
technology. There will also be exhibitions that celebrate watchmaking,
including Bell & Ross Clock & Military History and
Girard-Perregaux’s exploration into its 220 years of watchmaking.

The highlight, however, is the historically-themed “Mechanical
horology from its origins to the present day.” The exhibition traces
mechanical time measurement all the way back to the thirteenth
when weight-driven clocks tracked the time to “Grande Complications”
wristwatches. The presentation is accompanied by 60 historic timepieces
on loan from the Fondation Salon de la Haute Horlogerie partner brands
and Swiss Museums. In addition the FHH will display a current watch for
each of its partner brands.
